I want to come in character. Is that okay? Yes! It’s quite exciting. We encourage people who wish to get the most our of their night to create a character with a back story and we have created a submission form at the bottom of this page for you to let us know you are coming. Use the questions at the end of this FAQ to develop your own scroll to print out on the night to share with guests.
What Quests can I complete on the night? The four factions of The Goblin Ball are seeking your help. The newly overthrown Monarchy of The Ice Kingdom seeks revenge, calling Pintina to answer for her most vile crime of treason - they seek those who are calling for war. Ember Rule wishes to seek healing and forgiveness for the ex princess Pintina, they are interested if you are healer of deeper understanding. Starlantis is seeking scholars and psychics who know the future. Can you help them secure the runes of Ember Rule? Terra Bayou has sent their own Voodoo Poppet Peddler to gather enough trinkets under the shade of night. Master pickpockets and rogues would benefit from their call.
I want to represent a certain kingdom or fraction that exists in the Goblin Ball mythology. Would that work? Of course! The quests are a good way for you to learn who will be attending from each faction. If you have any questions about the realms of The Goblin Ball please keep them clear and we can answer them. My character is attending The Goblin Ball to complete their own quest. Can you work it into the script for the evening? Last year we felt the personal quest portion needed an overhaul. We have done so by ensuring there are four separate quests for people to sign up for on the evening. In order to give each guest the best experience possible we have decided these will be the only quests we can accommodate effectively. If you have your own personal quests why not see if a guest will help you? Bribing works wonderfully, but make sure it doesn't disrupt the story line of the event.
What kind of reward or trinket should I bring to trade? Something simple is always best. Some of the trinkets traded at The Goblin Ball: The Ice Kingdom were spell bags, potpourri, candles, gems and even home made tea bags. Use your imagination and even eBay where you can purchase bulk items at very low cost. The more creative the more likely it is people will want your reward.

My Character really needs to see the God / Goddess (or other main character) Talk to the characters of The Goblin Ball, they are there for your manipulation. Bribe and if the price is right - you may just get that meeting.
Can I ask anyone to help me in my quest? Yes! It’s even encouraged. We find that those who come to merely dance the night away were honoured to be asked to assist others in need - and the promise of a small reward goes a long way! If someone declines your invitation please be mindful of their wishes. The Goblin Ball is an event that prides itself on respect.
Last year you had Goblin Dollars. Will their be more Goblin Dollars at this years Goblin Ball? This year Goblin Dollars are no longer available. We thought that by bringing currency to trade from your own realm more negotiation can take place.
ARMOUR! I must protect myself from dragons and rogues! Can I bring my own sword too? The short answer to armour and weaponry is yes however you must keep all weapons sheathed at all times. The Goblin Ball is a place to match whits not swords. Those found duelling will be dealt with accordingly.
