Just as it is important to know the world you come from, it's also important to know the worlds we have explored in previous years. The realms of Chantrea Izar is where The Goblin Ball takes place. The unified world of Chantrea Izar was divided by Malforia, the then water daughter who's ambitions drove her to destroy her parents and seek power over her own domain. Read further to understand where you fit into the storyline, and what understanding you should bring to your characters on the evening.
A unified land of balanced energy and magic, the world was one of great lands all producing wealth of great treasures and crops. Chantrea Izar closely resembled our own, a unified earth of countless terrains and beauty. Ruled by two Elementals, their children were under their instruction to maintain peace and harmony.
Malforia, tempted by Witchcraft learned the ancient ways of the Enola Charm and upon uttering the charm destroyed her parents and killed her brother. The energy of her parents reformed into four distinct realms, twisted forms of the main elements of Chantrea Izar. It is their life force that forms the terrains combined with what solid foundations were left of the former Kingdom, and their children now reign over the sub domains that remain.
The Ice Kingdom
The Ice Kingdom is the first kingdom explored at the Goblin Ball. Devoid of life and influenced by the death of the Water Son it is barren and life seldom lasts. Malforia populated the kingdom with kidnapped Goblin slaves from the other Kingdoms to do her bidding. The want for a companion grew and she created the Ice King Hortenz to keep her company however his lack of compassion drew him to kill many goblins who inhabited the Kingdom.
Malforia forced Amaryllis the Handmaiden to do her evil bidding and kidnap a child that was rumored to be living in Ember Rule, the realm of Fire. Raising the child as her own, she named her Pintina and twisted the childs heart so she would find pleasure in others pain.
After killing a Phoenix that frequently visited the Ice Garden, Pintina was charged with the murder and banished to Ember Rule to answer for her vile deed.
The Ice Queen and Hortenz remained in the Ice Kingdom and counted Pintina's departure as a loss, until it was apparent that the Ice Apples (the source of the Ice Queens youth) were missing.
Ember Rule is the second realm explored at The Goblin Ball. Full of life and fire Ember Rule lives up to it's name of grandeur and gold. The world is ruled by two Gods, Ebon and Paiva - filled with love and forgiveness. The Acolytes live a happy and celebrated life of idolisation and compliance with gratitude. Rewards are plentiful and the gifts of the world are shared amongst all followers of the Gods.
Paiva and Ebon were told of the prophecy that Pintina would return by the High Priestess Hasina, and on her being returned she was pardoned and bestowed the rightful position of Demigoddess. There were thieves stalking around Ember Rule, and the psychic from Starlantis warned the Gods that if they weren't careful The God Ebon's heart may be stolen and the criminal slip away with the prized treasure.
A hunt was underway and Maude the Poppet Peddler from Terra Bayou was seized before he could make his move. Banished to Terra Bayou his punishment was the refusal to ever enter Ember Rule again.
However Pintina was the true thief and stole into the night with the Heart following Maude into the depths of Terra Bayou.
Terra Bayou is a world of swamp and stagnant. In the days before the Barons it was called Terra Dubois a land that had many luxurious forests. The Barons appeared and the land was barren of all lush and life. The trees started to rot and the water remained turning stagnant.
Pintina wandered for years searching for Maude the poppet peddler knowing that he would hold the answer to the attempt of theft. Eventually she would find that he was dead, and the barons were less than friendly.
The Thralls of Terra Bayou live in a forest filled with dead wood, they look for their saviour and seek the answer to escape the oppression of the Barons. Will Pintina survive the wager or will she perish to leave the thralls to fight their own battle?
