Welcome to
The Goblin Ball
CREATING MELBOURNE MAGIC FOR 26 YEARS
Born from Melbourne’s Labyrinth Masquerades of the early 2000s, The Goblin Ball emerged in 2013 to create something that was uniquely Melbourne’s own.
The Goblin Ball combines live performances, music, dancing, costumes and storytelling throughout the evening.
You might encounter roaming characters, discover a quest, watch a performance or simply find a spot on the dance floor. There’s no set way you have to experience the night, and you can take part as much or as little as you like.

Questions, Answered
Everything you need to know before you enter the world.

Costumes are encouraged, but you don’t need to create an elaborate costume to attend.
Dress in a way that fits the theme of the night. This could be a full fantasy costume, formalwear with a few fantastical touches, or something simple that makes you feel like you belong in the world of the Goblin Ball.
The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and enjoy being part of the experience.
If you would like the chance to be selected for the Walk of The Gods, a more elaborate costume may give you a better chance of standing out.
-
Not at all.
Each Goblin Ball creates a new world and story, all connected through the overarching mythology of the Goblin Ball. You don’t need to know any of it before you arrive.
You can simply come dressed up, enjoy the performances, dance, have a drink and explore the atmosphere. If you want to discover more, you can follow the characters, take part in quests and uncover the story as the night unfolds.
How much you want to discover is completely up to you.
